14 Tips for Stronger Nails

I love my nails! So when they become brittle/weak my first fear is my nails are going to break.

Regardless if you deal with brittle/weak nails or nail splitting 😢 These tips will help you grow and maintain healthy nails.✨
  1. Take a biotin vitamin.
  2. Use cuticle oil to moisturize your cuticles and nail beds daily.
  3. If you wash your hands constantly make sure to moisturize your nail beds and cuticles often with hand lotion.
  4. Use cuticle oil or hand lotion after your shower.
  5. Avoid acetone nail polish remover as much as possible.
  6. Consider changing your shampoo. If you use one  that stripes oils, it can also strip oils from your nails.
  7. Avoid going to the salon often, most use harsh and drying products.
  8. When filing your nails use a soft emery board and only move in one direction. Take your time moving fast can cause cracks in your nails.
  9. When dealing with chemicals or excessive water (like doing the dishes) wear gloves.
  10. Have a well balanced diet.
  11. The shape of your nails should match the shape of your cuticle area.
  12. Apply a nail hardener.
  13. My favorite, paint your nails💅🏼✨
  14. Don’t cut or push back your cuticles.

    1. I personally use SuperNail cuticle oil which has mineral oils in it. Solar oil has a great combination of oils to strengthen nails! But olive oil, vitamin E oil, and jojoba oil are good choices too!

  2. do you recommend this for all genders?? my nails are extremely crusty and I'm proud. But always looking for recommendations to make them non-crusty.

    1. Yes! No nails are discriminated here. My biggest tip for you is to keep your hands moisturized its very simple and does wonders for making your nails less crusty.

From Dull to Bold

Have you ever picked a bright nail polish that turned out dull and dark? Well I have a solution for you! It’s very simple and it only adds one step to your nail process.  After adding your base coat apply one coat of white nail polish before your chosen color. My pointer finger has a white coat under my polish and my middle finger does not. On my thumb I have a split view to see the drastic change. Isn’t it crazy?!?! Mental Health Awareness Nail Art

This week has been pretty tough on me and I am not ashamed to admit that. When people have a cold it’s okay to call out of work or school. But if you are having problems with your mental health many people just think you’re having a bad day and tomorrow you’ll be fine.  These nails are not just to spread awareness to mental illness but to remind me to keep fighting, to never give up, and most importantly help others like me so they don’t feel so alone.
