Saint Patrick’s Day Nail Art

When I was in elementary school on Saint Patrick’s Day if you didn’t wear green, the other kids would pinch you. Now that I’m older Saint Patrick’s Day involves Irish food, alcohol, and cute green nails.

Holiday themed nails are so much fun to do. They’re a conversation starter if you go out and they just make you feel more festive than usual.

You can copy my nails or pick a few to make a more uniform manicure!

Tips to get my manicure🍀🍀🍀

  • Paint all your nails with a white base coat
Thumb:
1.       Paint 1-2 coats of light green polish
2.       Take a fine gold glitter polish and paint it a little more than half way down
3.       With the fine gold glitter repeat just don’t go as far
4.       Take a chunky gold glitter and don’t go as far as the previous coat
5.       With a cosmetics sponge dab the chunky glitter only on the tip of the nail

Pointer:
1.       Pick 4 shades of green ranging from light to dark
2.       Using a striping brush make small strokes over the nails alternating between colors
3.       It doesn’t have to be perfect

Middle finger:
1.       Paint a quick dry top coat over the white base
2.       Pick 3 green shades, I did a light, medium, dark to blend the color better
3.       Using a cosmetic sponge paint the 3 colors overlap just a little
4.       Dab on the color
5.       Repeat at least one more time

Ring finger:
1.       Paint one coat of fine gold glitter
2.       Paint a quick dry top coat over the white base
3.       Paint the glitter on the sponge and dab it on
4.       Repeat at least one more time

Pinky finger:
1.       Paint 2 coats of dark green polish
2.       Paint a line of quick dry top coat where you want to place nail art ball beads
3.       Paint 2 coats of quick dry top coat to keep them in place

👽End every manicure with a quick dry top coat👽

From Dull to Bold

Have you ever picked a bright nail polish that turned out dull and dark? Well I have a solution for you! It’s very simple and it only adds one step to your nail process.  After adding your base coat apply one coat of white nail polish before your chosen color. My pointer finger has a white coat under my polish and my middle finger does not. On my thumb I have a split view to see the drastic change. Isn’t it crazy?!?!
