Mental Health Awareness Nail Art

This week has been pretty tough on me and I am not ashamed to admit that. When people have a cold it’s okay to call out of work or school. But if you are having problems with your mental health many people just think you’re having a bad day and tomorrow you’ll be fine.  These nails are not just to spread awareness to mental illness but to remind me to keep fighting, to never give up, and most importantly help others like me so they don’t feel so alone. Each design means something else, so I’ll tell you how to do the background of the nails and then go into what the design means. 💕 Background: water color inspired  Paint one coat of white base coat. Get a neon pink, teal, lavender, and yellow acrylic paint Using a nail art brush or a small paint brush mix paint with a small amount of water. You want it dilated to give it a water color appearance.  Randomly place the colors onto your nail. It’s okay to let it drip down your nail. Repeat at leas

Make Your Manicure Last

One of the worst things that can happen is spending hours on making the perfect nail art just for your nails to chip 2 days later. Bellow are some simple tips to make your manicure last longer from Christine the HoloQueen (Simply Nailogical).

Boyfriend Does My Nails

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 4 years now. He’s done my makeup before and it wasn’t horrible. So the next thing was for him to do my nails.  I wasn’t too worried about him doing them besides just dumping thick layers of nail polish on nails 😭 He had full control over the designs and colors he wanted to use. He wanted to do galaxy nails, so I showed him some YouTube videos from Cutepolish and Simply Nailogical. Honestly, I love the nails he created. It really surprised me how creative he got and how pretty they look! Even my mom couldn’t tell he did them. 😍 How he did them: Put a base coat on Add on coat of black nail polish  Using a purple glitter make a nebula  Add a quick dry top coat  Paint a blue metallic polish on a cosmetic sponge and dab the color on nail wear desired  Repeat using a red nail polish  If you’re not happy with it looks use the previous colors and either dab the colors were desired or

Be gentle and precise! 4) Finish with Top coat😊 All done!

Spring inspired "Pastel French Nails"

(one color for each finger)     4) Wait until they dry, design each nail as you want, using tape or sticker.     5) Paint over the tape or sticker.     6) Wait until they dry again.     7) Remove the tape or sticker you used, Be gentle!     8) Wrap it up with Top coat.

Make your own "Pastel colors"

Spring is right around the corner. I personally cannot wait for it to come already. Spring is full of pretty things and beautiful natural colors all around us. There are so many different colors. We cannot own every color of nail polish that exists in the world. You can create new colors using nail polishes you already have though. For example, when you mix Blue with Yellow , you get Green . You can get Purple by mixing Blue and Red . Even just controlling the amount of each color you mix will result in different colors as well. I have some pictures for you to see how it works . I mixed White with tiny little bit of Blue , and I’ve got gorgeous Pastel blue . Doing the same thing, I used White with small amount of Dark pink , Yellow , and Green to get very light Pastel Pink , Patel Yellow and Pastel Green . This way, you will be able to create so many shades of Pastel colors which are perfect for Spring nails. Basically, wh
